Birthday Celebrations!

Today it is Rosie's 14th birthday, she is seen here on the left on her favourite chair along with her daughter Buffy. She is a happy girl, easy going and despite her heart murmur is still quite active. She has been on medication for 3 years now and every day is a bonus. Happy Birthday Rosie from the gang!xx

Remembering Daisy

It is 2 years today since my darling Daisy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Rather than being sad(altho it is difficult) I will think of the good times and the 9 happy years I spent with her. This is one of my favourite photos of her as a puppy. She always seemed to be smiling.

The Good Old Days

A friend's bitch had her puppies which started me thinking(dangerous I know) on how far back ago I had delivered my first litter of Papillons....23 years I counted....jings that is scary lol!! I had served my 'apprenticeship' with a lovely lady who bred and showed rough collies which were my first love thanks to working voluntarily in an animal home, but that is another story. Many a happy day was spent socialising and training the puppies and grooming the adults. Above is one of my favourite photographs of the gang back in the 80's, all off course now in Rainbow Bridge.

Here are my two oldies today celebrating their 15th birthday....I can't believe how time flies! Abbie and her sister Sally off course were more interested in the treats I was holding than the camera. Many happy returns girls!xx

Holly (the honorary Papillon)

Holly is recovering from her operation yesterday. As planned she was spayed using the keyhole method - Laparoscopy. She is not amused and making me feel quite guilty for putting her through it. She could well win an Oscar for her performance! Only food fit for human consumption will do, she's turning her nose up at any dog food or treats. My vet has done another wonderful job and she is well on the road to recovery. You can read more about it on their website http://www.ayrton.org.uk/
