Sad News once again

It seems Abbie's illness which we thought she was recovering from was caused by a more serious problem and unfortunately she took a turn for the worse and I had no alternative but to make the terrible decision that all owners dread so to prevent any further suffering she was given peace while in my arms. I brought her into the world and it was only right I was with her when she left. She was never a show dog or brood but to me she was a 'one off' and I miss her terribly. She was 16 years, 3 months.

Papillons are such posers! We were in Cheshire on holiday recently and I got loads of practice with my new camera. Dogs were fairly obliging. This is my friend's girl Isla and Midi.

40 winks!

This baby sparrow was using the bird feeder as a resting place. I got quite close before being spotted and he flew off.

Just for a change!

On a recent trip to Crieff we took time to savour the stunning scenery. Scotland is such a beautiful country!

In Support of Help For Heroes

My workmate is running the 10k race in aid of the above and organising a charity night on Saturday 18th September in Bellshill. I'm giving her a wee hand and looking for any donations of food for the buffet and prizes for the raffle, all monies raised goes to this very worthwhile cause. We are also looking for a singer or entertainer who is available and willing to take part. E-mail me if you can help with anything. Thanks.

Snapshots

Treated myself to a new camera, so in between showers I tried for photos. My gang were not too keen to stand outside posing in the force 9 gale though! Poppy and Sally obliged for a brief few minutes then headed back into the house!

Buffy decided if I wanted any photos of her it had to be indoors...her expression says it all!

Judging

I had the pleasure of judging the Toy Group at Dundee Premier Show this month. I had a lovely entry and my line-up for the group was exceptional. I was spoiled for choice but my overall winner was a stunning Papillon bitch belonging to Mrs Anne Macgregor

Rosie

It is with a heavy heart that I had to say goodbye to Rosie-posie today age 14years 10 months. Gone but will never be forgotten. She was a true ambassador for the breed with a temperament second to none. I loved her dearly and will miss her terribly.

Life In The Fast Lane

Where has the time gone! Can't believe we are nearly at the end of May already. Things have been a bit hectic this year so far and due to various reasons I haven't had the time or energy to update the blog. Back tracking a bit I did manage a holiday before christmas and stayed with my good friend Marion in Chester. The weather was kind to us and we had some nice pleasant days, which was a blessing as the 'Barallan gang' were with me off course. We had a visit to Arley Hall and Gardens which are quite spectacular. The Christmas Floral Display which they do every year is worth visiting.

Chillin'

This was Holly's first trip south and as you can see she made herself at home.
