And not forgetting......

Baby Ruaridh with his dad at the party.
He was more interested in the balloons!

Life Begins.......

It was my brother's 40th, a number which we all try to deny when we reach it lol. His wife, Sheryl arranged a surprise birthday lunch and a good time was had by all. Said he didn't want a fuss but you know what men are like!!
Here he is with his lovely daughter Eilidh and son Laughlan. After his illness and dramas of last year it was good to see him looking better and more relaxed.

Here today gone tomorrow

My friend and her young bitch Isla came to stay and Isla went home minus a few parts LOL. She was spayed by my vet using the keyhole surgery method - Laparoscopy. He is a great believer in this method and is quite an expert at it now, performing over 150 operations to date. In fact he is the only vet in Scotland performing it. Isla on the other hand was not too impressed with the idea but resigned herself to the procedure as demurely as she could. She was actually a model patient and was bouncing about in typical papillon fashion when we brought her home. She had a small area of hair shaved off her tummy and two very small incisions. This method is less intrusive and quicker recovery time and I must say I was most impressed. It is a bit more expensive but worth every penny and my own girls will be done this way in the future. (the girls don't know this yet LOL) You can read more about it on their website www.ayrton.org.uk

Just when you thought it was safe!

Been fairly dry and milder weather here then wham! the snow falls thick and fast once again. Midi just loves the stuff and the girls watch not impressed from inside. Holly on the other hand doesn't even make the effort to look lol. She can be rather lazy when she wants too.

Abbie-normal

Well the old girl needed dental work....no I don't mean me!! Abbie, who will be 15 in June required a few teeth to come out. Her age worried me but my wonderful vet did not let me down and she is back to normal - well as normal as she can be, being slightly deaf and stubborn like most 15yr olds! lol She is bright eyed and bushy tailed and eating like a horse. Couldn't ask for anything more.
